Microsoft Certified Database Administrator MCDBA
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 candidates need to pass three core exams and one elective exam that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise in the implementation and administration of Microsoft SQL Server databases.
MCDBAs on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 are not required to pass Microsoft Windows Server 2003 exams to retain MCDBA certification. The Microsoft Windows 2000 Server exams and the Windows Server 2003 exams for the MCDBA on SQL Server 2000 certification remain available concurrently.
NEW Candidates using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 should consider the new Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) credentials. They provide IT professionals who administer, develop, or analyze Microsoft SQL Server 2005 databases with a simpler and more targeted framework to showcase their technical skills and their ability to create database solutions for business problems.
